Introducing: El DAPP-BQ en Español

Over the past few months, we’ve been working on a solution for our colleagues in Spain who would like to use the Dimensional Assessment of Personality Pathology – Basic Questionnaire (DAPP-BQ) for research and with clients.

We are excited to be able to offer this clinical measure supported by over 15 years of empirical research to qualified users in Spain. Researchers and clinicians are interested in the DAPP-BQ because it employs a dimensional structure that is consistent with current approaches to classifications of personality disorder. The measure was designed to assess and help treat personality disorders along the full continuum – from mild to extreme trait manifestations. The DAPP-BQ has been translated into several languages, including Spanish, and capitalizes on emerging research that supports a dimensional approach to measuring personality pathology. The DAPP-BQ report provides primary trait scores on 18 scales and delivers specific trait information to assist with clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.

Our objective was to develop a simple. cost-effective, and efficient solution for qualified DAPP-BQ users in Spain in the absence of a distributor in Spain and Spanish-speaking customer support personnel.

We are proud to announce that our solution is ready!

With the help of our excellent partners in Spain – the lead researchers involved with the DAPP-BQ translation and adaptation in Spain – J. A. Gutiérrez-Zotes, Ph.D., and F. Gutiérrez, Ph.D., we are now able to offer this product to Spanish clinicians and researchers.

Thank you to our partners for their help in bringing this tool to qualified users in Spain.
