What is 360 Degree Feedback?

What is it?

360 Degree Feedback – sometimes referred to as multi-rater feedback, multi-source feedback, or multi-source assessment – is a process for gathering multiple perspectives into an employee’s performance.

Typically, a 360 feedback involves a variety of perspectives (raters) from an employee’s (target’s) subordinates, colleagues, and supervisor, along with a self-evaluation. Each perspective is gathered through a combination of numbered ratings (quantitative feedback) and comments (qualitative feedback) and provides a 360 degree view of an employee’s performance.
